Jono, while originally from Wellington where he attended Victoria University, now calls the Central North Island home and resides in Taupō with his family.

I am an experienced and accomplished Chief Executive with over twenty years in strategic leadership positions within the tourism and hospitality sectors including executive leadership roles with Ruapehu Alpine Lifts (RAL) and Accor Hotels. In my current role, I have been responsible for transformational change of RAL key business units and the integration of major infrastructure into the business. More recently, my experience has included successfully navigating the ongoing impacts of COVID-19 and challenging operational conditions and brokering solutions with key stakeholders to ensure the business remains operational and sustainable with an ability to thrive into the future. I have a passion for building high performing and functional teams and extracting excellence from the organisations’ people. I pride myself on my leadership and communication skills both internally and externally and manage key stakeholders expertly.
