Networking/Ethernet, Senior Test Engineer
Hillsboro, Oregon
• Test program manager representative participating in product development teams. Responsible for developing end to end test solutions for network adapter products. Duties included design for test, writing test software requirements and functional test scripts, in-circuit test fixture development and factory training. Successfully developed and launched 15 network product lines, while exceeding quality goals.• Managed 6 person multi-disciplinary team including, software, hardware, and mechanical design to build and validate PCIE add-in card functional test systems. Drove requirements documentation, budget, schedule, execution and deployment in manufacturing. Project beat time to market allowing network adapter production prior to PCIE Gen4 compliance testing. • Quality action team leader that developed a strong collaboration by deploying onsite test for integration partners. Monitored product quality and performed root cause analysis on multiple issues that helped avoid over $250K in RMA costs.• Overhauled the network adapter design for test process, which determines test node access for in-circuit structural test. By using risk management strategies to evaluate overlapping test coverage, the new process saved over 300 engineering hours per year. • Incubated 40 Gigabit optical module from lab to product launch. Developed innovative, low-cost optical test solutions for programming and characterization of VCSEL lasers. Eliminating the need for optical oscilloscopes saved over $100K per test station. • Rewrote USB Firmware interface for in C for manufacturing test that reduced I2C EEPROM test times by 90%.
