I am an environmental engineer working in a project engineering role for Oasis Consulting Services preparing for my professional engineering licensure. I am looking for an environmental engineering position that offers training. I have experience in the solid waste industry both in landfill closures and solid waste generation, management, and characterization. This background includes federal, state, and local regulatory compliance in the states and the Virgin Islands. I have been involved as project coordinator to a Virgin Islands agency in grant application, permit application, budget, schedule preparation, and design for landfill closures and convenience centers in the Virgin Islands. I have also been involved in a design and operational plan for a solid waste handlers permit for a materials recovery facility. I have some experience in pond design and grading using civil 3D. Before Oasis, I worked for three years in Bremerton, Washington as a nuclear engineer for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. There, I worked in disposing of, managing, shipping, and characterizing low-level radioactive waste.
