Responsible for managing the engineering and maintenance departments as well as the facility and grounds of the PPG Elverson Coatings Plant (formerly Whitford).

- Directly managed: 10 Process Control Engineers, 3 Production Supervisors- Indirectly managed: 60 union operators through the Production Supervisors- Involvement with preliminary union contract negotiations- Directly managed 2 high volume production lines including staffing, KPIs, scheduling, capacity balancing, etc. Product is not line specific- Restructured department by eliminating 3 positions and enhanced the role and responsibilities of the Production Supervisors.- Set several new efficiency and loss to yield records- Led efforts to reduce PGM slurry and water waste and reduce changeover time- Championed transition from Excel based record keeping to a web-report based data entry and reporting system.- Preserved current business and helped secure future business by reducing variability in several processes and increasing overall process capability- Maintained highest engineer retention rate in history of facility.- Developed week-long orientation program for new-hire engineers as a supplement to on-the-job training. Similar program was adopted by several other departments.

- Redefined position of Superintendent by combining responsibilities of PCE supervisors and Superintendent.- Directly managed: 9 Process Control Engineers, 3 Production Supervisors- Indirectly managed: 60 union operators through the Production Supervisors- Involvement with preliminary union contract negotiations- Directly managed 2 high volume production lines including staffing, KPIs, scheduling, capacity balancing, etc. Product is line specific- Analyzed production line capabilities and set benchmarks and target rates for full range of products.- Identified and eliminated several process bottlenecks which required working closely with several departments with conflicting priorities.- Set several new efficiency and loss to yield records

- Directly managed: 9 Process Control Engineers- Trained Process Control Engineers on brand new diesel production lines- Developed reporting system for tracking brand new metrics for diesel product families.

- Directly supervised 15 union operators during the commissioning of 2 brand new production lines.- Commissioned 2 brand new diesel production lines including pre-validation trials, validation production runs, and high volume mass production.- Developed tracking and reporting system for hourly, shiftly, daily, monthly efficiency, loss to yield, and downtime.- Developed training program for new-hire engineers.

- Production line technical expert on the shift providing support to the PCEs and assisting with training and development, line optimization, and loss to yield reduction.-Served as liaison between Batching department and the production lines.

- Responsible for manufacturing of auto catalytic converters on high volume production lines.- Analyzed manufacturing conditions and adjusted process and equipment parameters to reduce variability, increase quality and increase throughput.
