• Leading efforts to enhance and make the testing process more efficient• Identify, select and implement QA best practices• Creates, delivers, reviews, approves, and maintains the following as-needed: test strategy, traceability matrix, test plan, defect management plan, schedule, etc.• Reviewing documentation to understand testing requirements, test environments and objectives.• Developing, writing and managing the execution of the overall software test strategy.• Coordinating QA resources across multiple projects in collaboration with Product and Development teams• Providing initial estimation of QA effort for each project on the Software Development Roadmap.• Working with project team members to resolve quality issues.• Supporting GO/NO-GO decision during deployment.• Tracking post-production defects and supporting sustainment releases• Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and retaining the right personnel resources within the QA Team. Directly oversees all team members, including: scheduling, training, mentoring, motivation, and coaching. Conducts evaluations/performance reviews and assists with other personnel-related matters as-needed.• Provides daily, weekly, monthly, and as-needed reports to management on the QA Team‘s activities. Analyzes reports, identifies trends or issues, and creates / executes action plans as-needed.
