2nd Engineer my responsibilities include:• Monitoring the power plants controls and power distribution; ensure that power is available at all times. • Visual inspections of equipment & diagnosis of actual & potential malfunctions, ensuring potential hazards and abnormal operating conditions are addressed quickly and that any deteriorating conditions are reported. Dealing with all aspects of fuels & oils.• Implementation of the Preventive Maintenance System (PMS). Maintaining PMS records, ensuring the quality and timeliness of preventive maintenance. Equipment reviews and spare parts inventories and identifying & improving critical parts list. • Upholding safety and environmental compliance requirements. Complying with Oil & Gas HSE legislation. Working and continuous improvement of the HSE Management System. Carried out inspections and audits in accordance with the HSE Management System requirements.• Developing and implements Job Safety Analysis and prepares hazard assessments as required. • Vessels operating manual and regulatory codes.

Relief Second & Third EngineeringP&O RO-RO PAX: August 2014 to September 2014.• As second & third engineer (ERO) on board the P&O Causeway, directly reporting to the Chief Engineer. I was responsible for the operation four main engines (Wartsila 12V38), two generators (Daihatsu 6DICM28F) and two shaft alternators and associated system components.• I was directly responsible for the operation and maintenance of all machinery while on watch. The plant consists of low pressure boiler which can run on HFO & MGO, purifiers running on HFO & MGO, air compressors & receivers, fuel tanks, pumps (inc all filters & strainers), hydraulics systems for bow, stern, shell doors & winches, sewage treatment plants & galley food macerators, refrigeration and air conditioning, bow thrusters, stabilizers, galley equipment, CPP hydraulic system, bilge system, stern tube sealing and steering system.• Manage daily operation of the engine room & technical team. Supervise work is carried out safely, correctly and on time. This includes all HSE management. • Operating preventive maintenance system. Inventory of all the ships mechanical parts. 90M Super Yacht• As third engineer on board a 90M Super Yacht, directly reporting to the Chief Engineer. I was responsible for the operation of 690V diesel electric plant. Consisting of 8 X MWM/Deutz TBD 616 V16 generators supplying power to two ABB Azipods motors with DP capability.• Operation system: Kongsberg with the ability to operate in U.M.S.• Operating and improving the Preventive Maintenance System inc all electrical & mechanical parts inventory. The system was linked to the main Kongsberg system and was updated constantly.

• The company provided services included Marine Engineering & Petrochemical solutions to marine & land based companies. These companies included pharmaceutical, ports, shipping companies, hospitals, data centers, government bodies & more. • This service also included marine engine work along with Petrochemical work such as, sampling and testing of fuel & Oil quality, mobile filtrating of the fuel & Oil, alterations to storage tanks including the installation of fixed separation equipment such as GEA/Westfalia separators & other separators systems, tank gauging systems and more. We have also services and maintained fixed emergency/back-up generators.• We have also provided services & “turn-key” solutions to the Irish Naval Service. This included internal & external cleaning of their main fuel storage tanks with a total capacity of 8 million liters. It also included surveying and NDT testing of the tank walls and floor plates, replacement of valves and large gaskets on main tank inspection doors.

• Our services included various marine work inc Project Management of shipping projects.Projects included dry dockings of large ferry’s & cruise ships, oil rig standby vessels & tugs in France, Spain & Ireland.• We completed a contract for Maersk in Normandy which took approx. two months. This work involved running outfitting contracts for the ship owners. We managed the contractors and worked with DNV giving the ship owner (our client) a full turn-key service. • This work included pipework installation (fresh water, grey, black etc...), fire alarm systems cabling and detector heads, all electric cabling, lighting, ventilation/AC systems and ducting.

2nd Engineer• As second engineer on board the Disney Wonder, directly reporting to the Chief Engineer. I was responsible for the operation of 6.6KV, 50MW diesel electric plant. Consisting of 5 X MAN V48/60CR and two GE 6.6KV motors driving two propellers. While on watch I was responsible for all plant including, flash evaporators, reverse osmosis plants, Separators, air compressors, hydraulics, sewage treatment plants, fresh water monitoring and dosing, refrigeration and air conditioning.• This ship had a GT of 83,000 and multiple engine rooms.

2nd Engineer• As the Second Engineer officer on-board the Irish Ferries HSC (High Speed Craft) “Jonathan Swift” I was responsible for the ongoing maintenance and operation of all the technical requirements for the vessel. This also included the bunkering of fuel & oils.• Technical details: 4 x CAT3618 V 18 high speed engines, generating total of 28,000 KW @ 1050 rpm. The engines propelled 4 x KaMeWa 112 SII water jets through 4 x Reintjes VLJ 6831 gear boxes. The KaMeWa jets pumped a total of 60m3 of sea water a second giving it a service speed of 40knts. • Overseeing the vessels planned maintenance and purchasing system (AMOS-Windows), along with breakdown repair.• Responsibility for instruction and training of staff in areas such as Engine room procedures and Fire party / Emergency response team.

Cadet to 2nd Engineer• Cruise ships built by Wartsilia at the Helsinki Shipyard in Finland. Main engines were 9 cylinder Two Stroke Wartsila-Sulzer Type 9ZH 40/48 - total output 14.560 kW at 450 rpm. Propulsion provided by two KaMeWa Controllable pitch propellers. • Completed major overhaul of fire tube boiler. Inc removal of the front door and associated equipment inc all pipework, and burner overhaul.• Dry dock projects. Completing pipework surveys & writing specs before the dry dock commenced. Hotel Maintenance Engineer / Third Engineer Officer, Sun Cruises Airtours plc: April 2002 to July 2003.• Managing the vessels Hotel Engineering Service Department, with the objective of safe and reliable operation of all equipment / machinery used by both passengers and crew, such as the vessels plumbing and sanitary systems, maintenance of all Galley equipment, sewage treatment and processing plant’s waste food pulp units, Dry waste and incineration.• Leading a team of 3 technical personnel supervising the day-to-day running / maintenance of all Hotel Engineering service related equipment.• Working with Preventive Maintenance System. Ensuring required spare parts inventory levels, and requisitioning for equipment.• Reporting on staff, assessing capabilities and offering instruction, training and guidance when necessary.• Maintenance of water makers, both flash evaporators & reverse osmosis types. Water treatment inc calibration of probes and chemical dosing pumps.Fourth Engineer Officer, Sun Cruises Airtours plc: December 2000 to April 2002.• Junior watch keeper of all mechanical & electrical plant. • Responsible for air compressors, oil & fuel purifiers, bulkhead isolation valves, remote operated bilge valves, watertight doors and engine room dampers. • Another responsibility of mine was looking after the lifeboats engines.• Working with Preventive Maintenance System.
