Presented the findings to the regional directorate. Used the participatory assessment to prioritize and direct my work.• Planned, wrote, and implemented 2 Peace Corps Small Project Assistance (SPA) grants, totaling $13,690.69, alongside counterparts in my village to rebuild 884 meters of fencing around 2 community gardens to support women’s income and food security.• Planned, fundraised for, and implemented a privately funded local market project, totaling $4,700, to co-build a 7-meter by 11-meter marketplace in my village to support women’s income and food security.• Promoted reforestation in my village by out-planting, or distributing for later out-planting, 512 trees, as well as by running 2 workshops for over 90 male youth on farmer-managed natural regeneration (FMNR) and tree nursery activities.• Ran 6 workshops in 3 villages to promote the capacity of women to improve their families’ nutrition using both Moringa oleifera and orange-fleshed sweet potato (OFSP), reaching over 155 women. Distributed OFSP cuttings to each woman. Planted over 1,000 moringa seeds across 2 villages to promote its usage.• Collaborated with another PCV to assist the Kiang West National Park in executing successfully on 2 of their personally defined priorities: building a website and applying for and receiving a $4,600 grant for income generation through tree nursery activities. • Started and co-ran a school green club, hosting 7 meetings to promote gardening and agroforestry best practices, reaching 145 children and youth. -
