Overview:Due to the age of the company in the country and the rate in which it grew while I was employed I held a number of positions. My last position being slotting manager. My responsibilities began at the point in which we received the containers in our Durban DC and I was in charge of the tracking, auditing, communication, reporting and handling of this stock through our receiving process in our Johannesburg hub to the point in which the stock was “Put-Away” in the correct brand, department Etc. Ready to be replenished.Duties:• Recruitment, Scheduling, Time management and Any other Issues regarding staff.• Ensure KPI’s , Reporting and deadlines are met • Due to the Nature of the business daily production requirements change and I would have to plan and Forecast Accordingly • Monitoring and Implementing Systems and Processes.• Continuously evaluating current systems and processes and if flawed I would have to assess, design, plan, test new methods to ensure continuous improvement.• Communicating with brand managers and providing them with visibility of the stock in transit down to quantity, style, size, new/old stock etc. to ensure we keep our stock integrity up and our accuracy in terms of location, availability up to date. • Overlooked all repairs, maintenance etc. of Onsite Machinery.• Due to my Knowledge of the system and broad understanding of what was required I was responsible for the training of multiple new employees ranging from general workers to management. This also put me first in line to take charge or be a key driver of many of the projects being undertaken e.g. Stock take of over 1million units, Re-design and implementation of bin design, pick path, processes and so on .
