Supported a team of ten designers and developers. My goal was to create an experimental, self-organized design culture built on opportunity, challenge, trust, reward, and freedom to fail. I provided mentorship and project support, while contributing to department strategic direction and new business development.

Helped establish The Nerdery's UX practice, which has grown into one of the largest design teams in the midwest. Applied human-centered design principles on digital projects for a wide range of clients, platforms, and domains.• Designed a continuing education and professional networking platform for a major legal services brand. Conducted a national contextual inquiry, facilitated strategy workshops, and produced a high-fidelity interactive prototype field-tested with users.• Architected an internal collaboration platform for the international marketing team of a Fortune 500 company. • Facilitated internal company ethnography and scenario development exercise, resulting in a company-wide reorganization and roadmap.

Wore many hats on unreleased interactive documentary Six Days in Fallujah based on experiences from Marines who participated in Operation Phantom Fury. Performed primary and secondary research to translate asymmetric warfare situations and decisions into game mechanics, developed core narrative framework and scripted the recreation of actual events, designed levels and game systems, prototyped gameplay mechanics, and assisted sound design and development.
