My graduate assistantship is in the WKU College of Education and Behavioral Sciences Student Success Center located in Gary Ransdell Hall. I am partnered with another graduate assistant and we helped design and implement a new peer mentoring program for first year and first generation students in the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences at WKU. The peer mentor program launched in the spring of 2023 and I am partnered with the other graduate assistant in supervising our 8 peer mentors. The other graduate student and I also assist with the day to day operations of the Student Success Center, and we have both collaborated on events and ideas for the space.

I interned with International Pathway to Academic Success (IPAS) at WKU during the Spring Semester of 2023. I collaborated in the implementation of a conversation parter program called the Language Greenhouse and a peer mentor program for refugees called the WKU Navigators. During this internship I also met with international students and refugees one to one, and I also helped with planning and hosting events.
