Provide leadership over a diverse range of responsibilities involving all components of the campus community for a private university in San Francisco. Areas of responsibility include facilities planning, maintenance and management; construction design and management; space allocation and utilization and facilities master planning; capital project management; risk and assets management; business operations management; and classroom services and support management. Supervise a staff of four full-time direct reports and oversee approximately 40 part-time and contract staff.Select Accomplishments:• Developed Institute’s first campus master plan and oversaw several cycles of space allocation planning and strategic space acquisitions to support increasing enrollment. • Managed and designed facilities improvements and expansion from 40,000 square feet to 130,000 square feet, including three campus centers and six satellite counseling clinics.• Created the institute’s first collaborative body to promote sustainability in all areas of the administrative and academic communities.• Coordinated the purchase of the main campus building, including overseeing the search for possible locations and negotiations which ultimately resulted in the purchase of the largest real estate acquisition in the Institute’s history.• Negotiated termination of third party catering business and oversaw startup of Institute-staffed food service operation to improve service to students, create a community hub and add additional non-tuition revenue. • Consulted in the opening of three training counseling centers increasing the Institute’s counseling centers from 3 to 6 centers and oversaw the relocation of four centers to improve services to student interns and the communities they serve and to improve non-tuition revenue.
