About Jonathan Mwangi

I'm interested in genes that contribute to different malaria parasite traits like proliferation in vivo and in vitro, infectivity of vector and human hosts, immune evasion etc. I use a combination of classical techniques (e.g. QTL analyses) and new genomic tools (e.g sequence analysis) to map genes affecting these traits. I use genetic crosses of parasites to do this.
