CurrentSupervise and dispatch mechanics (Field, Shop, Fuel/Lube) in the repair and service of equipment.Assist mechanics in the diagnosis of equipment issues and failures.Evaluating and monitoring the work performance and progress of my employees.Training new and existing employees on new policies and procedures.Interview and evaluate candidates for new hiring process.Advise Operational Vice President on equipment/component failures and best repair options.Ensure mechanics are completing assigned repairs and services correctly and timely.Field-follow mechanics to audit their work, their efficiency, and their ability to analyze/mitigate safety hazards.Work with Fleet Administrator in scheduling preventative maintenance for fleet vehicles and heavy equipment.Participate in the work order process, ensuring mechanics’ time, appropriate parts, mileage, etc. are accounted for on the appropriate work order.Manage and control mechanics’ work and time to maximize efficiency and lower the Company’s costs.Approve or deny requests for overtime based upon equipment needs, availability, etc.Prioritize equipment repairs and service based upon equipment needs, availability, etc.Oversee and comply with the Company’s purchasing process, reviewing and authorizing purchases.Report down equipment status daily to the Fleet Manager.Work safely at all times, in accordance with Company and Customer policies/procedures.Comply with all Company policies and procedures.Other tasks as business needs necessitate.
