This position is a broad-spectrum position that supports various needs within the scope of Technical Support and Account Services for all twenty-one markets of Cox Communications. In this position I have further developed in computer related skills and have become proficient in business related communication, account maintenance and technical writing. While in this position I have served as Cox Business Product Launch, Cox Business Account Services, Cox Business Technical Support and Cox Business Sales Escalation. While in this position I have expanded my abilities to derive detailed information from customers over the phone when I need more information. I have also learned how to handle and address escalated problems with distraught customers with the goal of customer satisfaction.

This position was contract work through a third-party contracting agency which lead to me being direct hired into my current position with Cox Communications. The position is a support position with the National Support Center. This position is geared toward providing support for Modems, Routers, Internet Gateways and Video equipment but also includes furthered support for services related to this equipment and its use.

This position allowed me to sharpen my troubleshooting skills with equipment I could not interact with remotely. The experience from his position helped develop my ability to give detailed instructions while maintaining the structure of the call needed to keep a steady flow to my calls. It also allowed me to further my understanding of a mobile network and the way the towers communicate and transition connections while the connected equipment is in motion.

This company provided me with an opportunity to expand my knowledge of a large-scale point of sale system. The upkeep and support for the product database and its pricing system was extremely important in this job. This position allowed me a to develop a deeper understanding for the remote support of equipment as well as the software and limitations involved when remotely connecting to a networked system/router. The ability to view and interact with both routing tables and MAC address filtering lists provided me with a more complete perspective of how these tools can be used to remotely connect and maintain equipment that is inaccessible through standard miens.

This job role included: System Design, Sales, Implementation and Support for VIP customers including but not limited to Dell and its affiliate partners. I designed complete computer system solutions to meet a customer’s needs based on their day to day usage of the system. Our other responsibilities included supporting preloaded software or technical related issues for that system after the sale of equipment. This was to provide the VIP customers with a single point of contact for all their needs.

With this company my position was supporting experimental Wifi equipment. The position was the sale of equipment, software support for the installation on computers/laptops and technical support of hardware and network signals for the service based out of Anaheim, CA area. The technology consisted of Wifi transmitters mounted on telephone poles directly wired into the city’s power lines to provide broadband service across the city using mobile USB Wifi cards. Service was supported remotely from the support center in Moore, OK.
