Norfolk Naval Base

 Responsible for the daily administration of six Sun Ultra 60 workstations, one Sun Enterprise 3500 and an SGI Origin 2000 UNIX server running a military specific image exploitation application. Served temporarily for seven months as the team lead for an eight person team, facilitating the implementation, configuration and documentation of a new image exploitation system for CINCLANTFLT.  Responsible for the initial setup and dissemination of various daily, weekly and monthly status reports and sent them to headquarters. Facilitated site meetings to discuss system readiness and availability. Identified various system issues and forwarded technical fixes back to the factory for testing and implementation at the other sites. Participated in multi-site technical information exchanges to increase uptime across the infrastructure. Maintained a top secret clearance for this position.

Kelly Afb, Osan Ab, Korea, Langley Afb

 Responsible for the troubleshooting and repair of small personal computers in a mobile intelligence environment. Troubleshot, repaired and trained personnel on cryptographic and key generation equipment. Part of a team responsible for administering two Enterprise 6000 Sun servers within a Receive Location (RL) for the Defense Dissemination System III military specific imagery system. Served as the Computer Information Systems Security Officer for the Logistics Branch, ensuring compliance with military security policies and guidelines, writing procedures to cover specific security shortfalls. Responsible for writing performance reports on junior enlisted personnel and counseling them on opportunities for improvement. Maintained a top secret clearance for this position.
