The Team Leader Engineering provides day to day management of the Engineering team to ensure project delivery. The Engineering team has the following role and functions as part of the Regional Council:• Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance of Flood Control, Drainage Schemes and Regional Park Network.• Flood and natural hazard qualification and management.• Flood forecasting and flood management.• Consenting advice and statutory advocacy.• Ratepayer and general enquires.• Coastal monitoring and management including Westshore re-nourishment programme, coastal monitoring, river mouth openings, coastal strategy, and coastal structures relating to schemes. • Gravel resource management (strategy, monitoring and allocation).

Responsible for the management of all 3 Waters for the district. This includes the programming of capital works and management of the operations contractor.
