My primary objective as a teacher is to motivate students to explore new facets of their own learning experience. Using critical and historical thinking skills, I aim to create an engaging and well-rounded environment for all students to succeed. I have taught a variety of classes that show a broad range of historical inquiry and continue to look to new challenges. When preparing lessons, I routinely ask myself "what can be done better next time." With a constant improvement mindset, the subsequent lessons and/or classes change to fit the needs of the students. One of the avenues I have targeted is the use of online Lecture Videos. Through YouTube and other sources, I create lecture content that students can access at their own pace to better help them succeed. Collaborative teams and a well-formed peer group of educators reinforce my existing framework of lesson plan and technology use. My commitment to trying new strategies and techniques to help students understand and synthesize the content continues to evolve.
