Jonathan Chance Stephens is a student at the University of Florida studying Food Science with a minor in Agricultural and Natural Resources Law. Their passion within the agricultural industry came with their participation in the National FFA Organization, where their passion for food systems and agricultural advocacy blossomed throughout their time within the program. Since then, Stephens has worked within multiple organizations and companies to help advance food security across the nation through developing informal educational programming and food stipend programs. Their dream is to work within the public policy sector or the non-profit sector to continue to develop solutions to guarantee food security for those less fortunate across the globe. Additionally, they hope to support the advancement of sustainability within agricultural, food, and natural resources systems through creative and intentional policy development. This is supplemented with their distinct focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion practices in order to promote a future for all individuals the opportunity to thrive and prosper.
