Hello, my name is Jonathan Winstead. I am a Magna cum Laude graduate of the AHIMA accredited Hinds Community College Health Information Technology Program and a certified RHIT. I have learned many valuable skills through the program such as ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT coding. I have also learned many things through my professional practice, reimbursement, pharmacology, and pathophysiology courses. My college curriculum also included courses in Personal Finance, Medical Terminology, Computer Applications, Computer Applications in Business and Industry, A&P I, and A&P II. Through my coding classes and professional practice experience for the last two years, I feel that I have gained the knowledge and skills needed to begin a coding/medical records career.
