I am a specialist in evaluation, applied research, QI and system development methodologies in UK and international health contexts, with over 15 years working experience in this field. I have detailed knowledge and practical experience of using a range or MEL, research and impact approaches. My main focus is on improving outcomes for those in need by ensuring evidence and development efforts are effective, relevant and practical.I am an expert coach, trainer and manager, with extensive experience of both managing evaluation teams within and across multiple organisations, and of coaching improvement teams. Recent work includes a step-wedged clinical Trial of a digital therapeutic, research into the effectiveness of a digital health platform in Somaliland and delivering a 23-hospital spread programme for the Royal College of Surgeons of England. I am a member of the Health Foundation’s Q community and a Professor of Capoeira. I have experience of global reporting systems as well as evaluation, research, and service development in Somaliland, Malawi and Brazil. I have proficient Portuguese.
