About Jonathan Batten

As a Qualified Instructor, and Qualified Assessor, developed through Australia's most trusted professional training organisation I have and continue to evolve effective teaching methods: for competency building, skills enhancement, and professional growth.Although two dedicated training postings as both a junior and senior NCO are testament to my commitment to training, my experience is enhanced by no less than four operational deployments, and numerous training rotations.Having left the Full-Time Army in 2017, my commitment to learning - and teaching - continues with my passion for diving, being rated as a PADI Instructor in 2008, and qualifying as a Close Personal Protection Operator in the USA in February 2017, which led to time contracting on the Close Protection Teams for the Australian and New Zealand Embassies to Iraq. Since returning to Australia I have taught First Aid courses, consulted to numerous security organisations to make strategic pivots of service and operational outcomes, and leveraged my international experience to advise on community and public engagement during Victoria's COVID-19 response. With a constantly forward focus, I have completed a Graduate Certificate of Commerce through RMIT, where a focus on Project Management and Business Problem Solving engaged my passion for holistic solutions and the concept of taming chaos.
