About Jonathan Gillis

Jonathan Gillis supports applied research and consulting projects that focus on the measurement, analysis, and modeling of jet noise and jet blast. He is currently developing tools to: validate noise models with measurements collected from the field; analyze the impact of current weather on environmental noise; and determine the size and extent of an aircraft's jet blast during ground operations. Prior to joining BRRC, Mr. Gillis was a fly-by-wire flight control systems engineer at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, where he led the development, integration, and certification for the flight control computer on the Gulfstream G700 and the air data system for the Gulfstream G500 and G600. Mr. Gillis received his B.S and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in controls and acoustics from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Mr. Gillis is currently pursing a M.S. in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a focus in Machine Learning.
