I was elected by my peers to serve as a Council Member for the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys.While on the Council, I want to help with the development of the training structure for Patent Attorneys in the aftermath of the Mercer Review. As both an FD4(P6) Examiner and relatively recent candidate I think that I am in a unique position to help with.

I served as an Examiner for the Infringement and Validity paper (FD4) of the PEB Final Diploma examinations. As well as making sure I kept up to date with any changes in the law, this helped me to assist in the training and development of the next generation of patent attorneys.

I helped prepare and write posts for the popular Intellectual Property blog IPKat for a temporary period in their InternKat programme.
