RESEARCH AGENDAI study human-wildlife interaction in leisure settings. Specifically, my work seeks to develop a deeper understanding of how emotionally significant experiences with wildlife impact leisure behaviors and preferences. In my dissertation, I explored the roles of awe-inspiring wildlife experiences in leisure-based learning.TEACHING AGENDAI take enormous pride in my teaching and am constantly seeking to improve. Today's students have spent much of their lives taught to a test; I seek to push them beyond those confines, challenging their analytical abilities and imploring them to consider application of their ideas. I accomplish this agenda via conventional classroom settings as well as through field study, active mentorship, and research supervision. SERVICE AGENDAI believe service is a vital component to scholarly success, and my background working with faculty, students, and professionals speaks directly to my dedication to foster collaborative, sustainable relationships across diverse realms of interest.
