Position Profile: The S6 is the Chief Technology Officer for the 278th ABCT and is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of technology services for seven squadrons consisting of more than 4,000 personnel. The S6 oversees the organization’s data and voice networks, security and maintenance, and incorporates the Commander’s intent into the technical strategy in order to achieve organizational objectives. The S6 provides sound technical leadership in all aspects of the organizations communications needs.Duties & Responsibilities:—Act as the principal technology advisor to the commander, utilizing excellent communications skills.—Develop the communications strategy for all objectives, and ensure IT platforms are used efficiently and securely while implementing newlyfielded systems and infrastructure.—Conduct comprehensive network audits of the organization’s back-up procedures and cyber security posture, aimed at improving security acrossthe network.—Provide strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of the information and technology systems for theorganization and its subordinate units.—Responsible for overseeing all aspects of S6 section, which includes providing leadership, long-term strategic planning, and staff management.—Develops policies and procedures and uses technology to enhance processes.—Responsible for the management of multiple information and communications systems and projects.—Ensure the successful execution of the assigned missions through development of tactical communication plans and deployment of platforms.

Position Profile: The Network Operations (NETOPS) Chief is the Senior IT Project Manager reporting directly to the Deputy Director for the G6/CTO and executes an Information Technology strategy in support of the Tennessee Army National Guard’s State/Federal missions to respond to domestic emergencies, counterdrug efforts, and overseas combat missions. The NETOPS Chief is responsible for providing critical thinking, business acumen and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that improves cost effectiveness, creates a secure environment, and continuously improves operational efficiency in a constantly changing cyber centric landscape.Duties & Responsibilities:—Senior IT project manager and IT/Network Supervisor responsible for performing the administrative, analytical, and technical duties relative tonetwork management, capacity planning and requirements, project management, cyber management, lifecycle management, acquisition, resource management, and risk management for a network covering over 100 locations with 489 hardware chassis and 1320 modules across the state of Tennessee. Serve as the G6/CTO Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) reviewing contracts and tracking performance.—Manage a $2.6 million budget for the operational support of the network infrastructure, licensing and services.—Responsible for $4.3 million in network hardware, telecommunications equipment, and other infrastructure.—Develop cyber security policies and procedures, based on guidance from Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), to ensure all STIGs forthe network hardware, administrators, and end users are published and enforced.—Manage the day to day operations, implementing change management processes to manage network configuration changes.—Led the Change Advisory Board (CAB) to review and prioritize requested network changes, monitor the change process and provide advice to leadership.

Position Profile: The 155th Signal Company Commander, (equivalent to a division head in a civilian organization) for the 230th Sustainment Brigade, is responsible for $7.6 million in tactical communications equipment. The Commander is also responsible for the safety, training and productivity of 52 personnel, and for the day-to-day operations of the 155th Signal Company, to include the design, implementation, operation, maintenance, and security of the tactical communication infrastructure, in support of the 230th Sustainment Brigade.Duties & Responsibilities:—Develop and execute the Information Technology and communications strategy in support of the organizational mission, objectives andgoals.—Responsible for the overall management of the Company to include administrative, training, maintenance and the moral and welfare of 52personnel.—Provide network operations, management, command and control, and cyber security support for the organizations network.—Conduct comprehensive network audits of the organization’s back-up procedures and cyber security posture, aimed at improving securityacross the network.—Manage the operations of the organizations help desk and provide technical support to end-users.—Develope policies and procedures and uses technology to enhance processes.

Position Profile: The Computer Network Defense (CND) Assistant Team Chief, is responsible for network infrastructure activities, cyber policy planning, cyber operations, cyber threat analysis, and incident response. Apply the principles and methods of systems security, regulations, and policies sufficient to plan and coordinate the development of specifications to meet security requirements in DOD networks. Understand and implement incident response and handling methodologies. Assists in developing the strategy for optimal use of virtualization products and system integration.Duties & Responsibilities: Manage a team of Information Security IT Specialist. Manage the incident triage process, to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact; identifying the specific vulnerability; andmaking recommendations that enable expeditious remediation. Manage the information collection from a variety of sources to identify, analyze, and report events that occur or may possibly occur withinthe network Establish a training and certification program for IA workforce personnel.
