The result of five months of "evil planning," diginomica.com presents a new approach to enterprise analysis and storytelling. The site is completely free (well, almost) of consumer tech hype and gadget fluffery, focusing only on the stories that matter to the transformation of the enterprise.diginomica's name reflects the necessary dependency of tech and business in the so-called digital age. There is no advertising on diginomica.com. In this publishing model, our partners add customer-focused content to the site's narratives. That means no advertorial, and our partners know we mean it. What the future holds for diginomica.com remains to be seen but I'm honored to be a part of this "founding five" and our launch feedback has been terrific. The site is built from the ground up with mobile consumption in mind, so you have no excuse not to check it out, even if you are a warrior of the road as many of us are in this biz.

JonERP.com is an interactive web site that monitors SAP consulting trends and provides “Career Answers for SAP Professionals.” Through the JonERP.com “SAP Career Blog,” SAP professionals can pose career questions to Jon across functional and technical skills categories. JonERP.com also features podcasts with industry insiders, where Jon and his guests examine the “human side of SAP implementations” and identify the skills necessary to implement the latest SAP technology.JonERP.com also features the “Hiring Trends in SAP” newsletter, which provides SAP managers with the keys to recruiting top SAP talent through an analysis of SAP hiring trends in “summary brief” format. Launching JonERP.com fulfills Jon’s dream of creating his own web site for SAP professionals to help them make the best project choices and form a broader career strategy. He hopes that the honest commentary on the site will lead JonERP.com to become a trusted destination for SAP professionals in the NetWeaver era.

As the Vice President and Founding Editor of SAPtips, Jon Reed was personally responsible for setting the editorial agenda for the publication, recruiting all writers, and helping to build the subscription base to 400 corporate subscribers. He personally edited more than 3,000 pages of searchable content on SAP implementation tips. Jon also wrote most of the editor’s notes and every editor’s letter for SAPtips through 2006. As the Vice President and Practice Lead for SAPtips, Jon personally created the marketing materials for the Training and Consulting Practice and recruited and supervised the staffing manager for the practice. Jon also recruited the first three training manual writers who authored the initial SAPtips off-site training manuals. Jon formed the major content partnerships for the distribution of SAPtips material. Jon played a leadership role in the management of the SAPtips practice until his departure in March 2007 to launch JonERP.com.

Built and managed the entire front-end for the mySAPcareers.com web site, including specialty newsletters for SAP, Siebel, EAI, and B2B professionals. Developed a third party ERP job requirements email system with more than 500 participating vendors.

The front end of Allen Davis and Associates, SoftwareJobs.com was one of the first Internet-based recruiting firms. As the Vice President of SoftwareJobs.com, I managed the ERP recruiting division and was the highest billing recruiter each year within the firm. In 1995, I launched the "Opportunities in SAP" email newsletter, the first email newsletter of its kind. By the time I moved on from SoftwareJobs.com in 2000, the newsletter had more than 7,000 subscribers, and its sister newsletters, "New Directions in ERP" and "Extending the Enterprise," which I also conceived and founded, had more than 4,000 combined subscribers. I billed more than $1,000,000 in recruiting revenues during my years with SoftwareJobs.com, and the writing I did for the SoftwareJobs.com web site became the basis for the SAP Consultant Handbook.
