Modeling with Simulation of Urban MObility (SUMO) traffic simulation package. Developing custom traffic simulation modeling software in Python.Researcher on real-time traffic experiment, combining vehicle sensing, control, and communication technologies to affect traffic flow using semi-autonomous vehicles on a portion of the highway in Nashville, Tennessee, known as the I-24 MOTION testbed. FREMONT PROJECT: Used microsimulator to accurately model and reproduce traffic patterns in Fremont, CA to study the influence of routing apps on traffic. Working in the modeling software Advanced Interactive Microscopic Simulator for Urban and Non-urban Networks (AIMSUN), ran simulations to identify and resolve problems and add improvements to the model. Made and analyzed videos of simulations and presented weekly to group. Some python coding.

Created superelevation diagrams using Civil3D for ramps at four interchanges along I-205 in Tracy. Drew utilities from received correspondence and CivilGrid at a few locations along I-580 in Oakland in MicroStation, and also along Union Road in Hollister in Civil3D. Created a custom concrete barrier detail in MicroStation also for I-580. Additionally, created custom drainage details in Civil3D for a trail repair project in Dublin.

Used MicroStation to create typical cross sections for design alternatives at CA-237 & Lawrence Expressway in Sunnyvale and CA-92 & Clawiter Road in Hayward. Performed a site visit to assess stoplight timings near Dublin Plaza Center. Annotated design exceptions in Civil3D for a proposed alternative along San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley.

Intern at a transportation engineering consulting firm. Used AutoCAD to create traffic control plans for Marin Ave in Albany. Performed traffic analysis for Bancroft Bridge in Walnut Creek using SimTraffic and for John Muir Concord Medical Center using Synchro simulation software. Used Vistro and ITE Trip Generation manual for traffic volume estimation.

Assist with engineering tasks on the design of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for buildings. Used various tools such as AutoCAD, HAP software for load calculations, Energy Pro for T24 energy compliance modeling, Visual-3D to create photometric lighting models, and Excel to perform an HVAC system cost comparison analysis. Reviewed submittals.

Assisted with mechanical, electrical, plumbing design for construction projects for housing, transportation, education and commercial buildings. Reviewed submittals, checked drawings, used AutoCad and HAP (Hourly Analysis Program) to do drawing take-offs and create an energy model for calculating heating and cooling loads. Used Energy Pro to model lighting loads for Title 24 code compliance. Plotted and delivered drawings. Attended site visit meetings including HVAC installation at Acalanes high school, a BART project RFP meeting, and a punch walk at WETA (Water Emergency Transportation Authority) Alameda Ferry Dock construction site.
