CPOF is a distributed system of several million lines of code.Planned and ongoing changes were made with a holistic, system perspective; considering short/long term risk, design flaws and quality issues. Final code reviewer on all new changes and features before they were added to the system baseline. Worked with development teams and team leads to negotiate and resolve any potential issues without incurring technical debt. Monitored the overall health of the code base and worked with team leads to improve it.Created a set of Python based tools to aid with the development and integration of new features, thereby automating a formerly manual merge process.

Performed software development on the CPOF system, primarily in Java. Designed portions of the system and collaborated with Systems Engineers, Visual Designers and Testers.Primary duties were on the user interface team, where the user interfaces used incremental construction; meaning the UI was built and displayed before all information would arrive, and the UI would be automatically updated as new data became available. Multi-threaded and asynchronous programming was often utilized. Also executed tasks on other parts of the system as needed.

Responsible for planning, design, development, testing and maintenance of a multi-threaded web based factory monitoring and reporting system in C#, VBScript, and PostgreSQL database, as well as a Python based automated deployment and build system.The system allowed several hundred machines to be remotely controlled and generated reports of material usage in several formats. System included PostgreSQL database with JDBC connectivity, socket programming through a Modbus communications driver and a SWING user interface. Also used the OpenOffice API for generating scheduled reports delivered via email.
