At Focused IT, I'm building upon my previous role providing IT support to a variety of clients in both private and public sectors. Primarily engaging with local SMEs, I regularly work with and troubleshoot various desktop and server operating systems, line of business applications, and network infrastructures, liaising with vendors or third-parties as required. Keen to further my knowledge, I’ve undertaken a networking and firewall course in Sophos XG and become certified up to XG version 18.5. I also act as an escalation point for junior members of staff, providing appropriate technical direction or support as required.Utilising my existing Microsoft Office 365 certifications, I have been involved in administering and deploying a number of cloud based solutions. These include Office 365 tenancies with Exchange Online environments in hybrid configurations, SharePoint Online libraries, and Azure offerings such as cloud hosted virtual machines with accompanying resources, or Active Directory implementations.Part of my role is to act as an account manager and primary liaison. I work with a number of clients to sustain and develop relationships, ensuring they receive the highest quality technical support and customer service that Focused IT vow to deliver. It’s essential to understand how a clients business works, ensuring they are able to maximise the use of IT resources available to them; thus enabling them to grow further, reduce costs, and maximise efficiencies. Great customer service is something which I have always believed in, It is vital to communicate in a clear, courteous, and understandable manner in which anyone can feel well informed.I have also been involved in a number of projects readying businesses networks for Cyber Essentials certification, and been fortunate enough to trial and provide feedback on a new piece of cyber security testing software which converts vulnerability data into rated risk management reports with get well plans.

During my time at RedMosquito I've become a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert in productivity. The courses undertaken included obtaining an MCSA in Office 365, and Designing and Deploying Microsoft Exchange Server 2016. This has given me the confidence to plan and conduct in-house Exchange to Office 365 migrations for a number of SMEs. Day-to-day I provide technical support for a variety of clients in different industries by completing service desk tickets and project tasks. As a result, I am familiar with a number of Windows operating systems, and have experience with various server roles and features.Within the team, I lead the ongoing development and maintenance of our Remote Monitoring and Management platform (RMM), Solarwinds N-Central. I've taken great interest in finding ways to further enhance monitoring of clients' environments as well as creating automation policies. These tasks provide preventative maintenance to eliminate issues before they arise for end users. The RMM also includes maintaining an integrated antivirus solution, providing patch management, and scheduling tasks and maintenance windows to suit clients' needs.I take pride in building and maintaining a good relationship with clients especially whilst working on a service desk, as the role is very customer service orientated. I believe great customer service not only leaves clients feeling satisfied and well informed, but benefits the business as a whole by increasing team motivation and efficiency.

Prior to being taken over by BarBurrito, I joined Pinto Mexican Kitchen in late 2014 as a part time member of line staff. Here I’ve built on top of previous skills obtained at other jobs and become very confident working with and interacting with the general public. After graduating from university, I decided to join the team full time. I’ve since been promoted to a Team Leader and received extra training to assist in the running of shifts. This has given me the opportunity to train new staff, prioritise and delegate tasks, whilst going about them with a sense of urgency. I take pride in my product knowledge and have learned a lot about health and safety and have studied the Scottish FSA CookSafe HACCP System.During my time here I’ve been chosen to participate in other store openings and train new staff. I’ve been taught about the companies targets, cash management, daily stock management and how to use resources efficiently so as a team we can meet our gross profit target. I'm currently learning about the general management of the restaurant in order to manage shifts solely and cover the absence of any senior managers.

I was responsible for managing various e-commerce platforms on a day to day basis. Working with my management team, I had to analyse sales, manage promotions, and research ways to continuously increase our company's sales. I also helped out my colleagues by providing them with technical support and maintaining the machines on the companies network.

Nous Education was founded in late 2012 by myself and Aidan Threadgold both aged 17. We're passionate about improving young people's education through the use of technology, so that all young people across the world can have access to the means to better themselves and their community.
