As a fall intern I worked with the StreetSmart campaign. My role was to connect with the local community via social media, in-restaurant visits, and email and phone conversations. Throughout the fall I initiated in partnerships with local food blogs, magazines, universities, and restaurants to promote and participate. Working with my supervisors I helped to design social media plans of action for the Room In The Inn organization and StreetSmart fundraising program. Through the process of pitching, recruiting, and promoting our program, my efforts increased involvement and awareness in these measurable ways: •Created catered telephone, email, and in-person pitch templates for StreetSmart fundraising program to use in the future.•Initiated contact with over 10 restaurants or coffee shops in 4 different regions of the Nashville area for the first time, totaling near 50 new contacts. •Coupled with the work of my supervisor, this action raised the total number of restaurant/foodtruck partners from 20 to 45•Maintained Twitter campaign by tweeting an average of once a day for two months and: --Increased from 8 followers to over 150 followers--Increased follower involvement from 1 previous “favorited” tweet and 0 retweets to 100 individual favorites and 30 retweetsWhile interning, I was also completing course credit for my Human and Organizational Development major where I developed or executed various professional skills and deliverables including, but not limited to: an Organizational Analysis Report using SWOT format, a Personal Development Portfolio, and a Social Media Effectiveness and Efficiency Project for the Room In The Inn organization and their StreetSmart campaign
