We have an online community of over 470 members (http://www.meetup.com/Los-Angeles-Hackerspace/) We believe that creativity and entrepreneurship shouldn’t be limited by the lack of access to tools and knowledge.We've been operating out of a conference room provided by office of Council Woman Martinez at the Van Nuys City Hall and are starting to outgrow our space and other needs. We are transitioning from a 470+ online members meetup group to a formal entity. We are working on turning HackerspaceLA into a formal entity operating in the San Fernando Valley that will provide FREE access to knowledge, tools, software, and working spaces.
