Basra, Iraq

Under the Department of State (DOS) Diplomatic Security Division, my duties for this position were to provide diplomatic security services in a high threat and austere environment setting for the State Department Consulate General (CG), Regional Security Officers (RSO), and other government personnel and entities. Was a member of an advance team, conducting site surveys and pre-planning for upcoming diplomatic missions.Conducted vetting for Iraqi day laborers working inside the consulate, utilizing the Interpol biometric system.Also, managed a guard force comprised of Peruvian and Ugandan expatriates guards to protect the U.S. Consulate Basra from protests and political unrest in southern Iraq.

Balad, Iraq

Duties for this position entailed the performance of aviation security assignments at the Iraqi Air Force base in Balad, Iraq. My responsibilities in this position included the supervision, training, and mentoring of local Iraqi military personnel in weapons handling, proper force protection procedures for the operation of an entry control point, as well as mobile patrol procedures in an airfield environment. In addition to my training and mentoring of Iraq military personnel, my duties included: conducting advanced security reconnaissance for projected security movements, as well as working in collaboration with the installations quick reactionary forces, and personal security details for the safety of all company clients.

Camp Van Aalst, Konduz, Afghanistan

Provided protective and escort services in a classified U.S. Special Operations installation in Northern Afghanistan. Supervision of local Afghan workers for labor duties done daily on site.Utilization of Rapiscan surveillance technology for detection of unauthorized personnel and vehicles.

United Arab Emirates

Duties for this position included providing physical security, and inventory maintenance for the United States Army on modified Russian Mi-171E helicopters with five western system counter terrorism configurations. I was also responsible for ensuring access by foreign personnel was controlled and limited in accordance with the approved technology control plan. I was responsible for United States Munitions List (USML) equipment in depot, in transit, and during installation, and post installation storage. I was also tasked with the enforcement of Department of State International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations which control military/defense related equipment and information. In addition to security duties, I was also responsible for all administrative duties to include: the processing of all incoming, and outgoing mail, and supervision of four mail specialist personnel.

Uroševac, Kosovo

My primary duties was the force protection of NATO forces on Camp Bondsteel located in Uroševac, Kosovo. I provided static and mobile security at all entry control points and on the perimeter of the installation. I also controlled vehicle and pedestrian access entering and exiting the installation, as well as cleared personnel desiring to enter the Tactical Operations Center (TOC). I also operated radio and electronic surveillance systems.
