Jose Alba is Senior Business Leader (VP) in the North America Processing group at MasterCard. Jose is responsible for building market strategies and driving value across the processing value chain.Previously, Jose was Business Leader in the Emerging Payments E-commerce group at MasterCard. In this capacity, he develops and implements e-commerce solutions. Jose is the subject matter expert on cross border e-commerce, and has helped the company establish a strategy and approach in this vertical.Jose has also performed roles in the Global Product Loyalty and Rewards group at MasterCard. In this capacity, Jose developed and managed loyalty solutions that enhance cardholder experience and promote long term engagement with payment products and services.Jose has also managed operations and marketing for loyalty programs in the Latin America region. Jose started his career at MasterCard in 1996, working as an Analyst in the Global Statistics group, where he performed the validation, analysis, and reporting of MasterCard, Maestro, and Cirrus performance statistics. In 1998, he became Manager Statistical Development in the Member Information Services team, working with MasterCard regional/global staff to resolve data definition, statistical, compliance, billing and timing issues for production reporting.In 1999, Jose went to work as a Manager for American Express Company. At American Express, he worked initially in Modeling and Analytics, managing an analytical center focusing on projects and initiatives within the Consumer Marketing team. In 2001, he moved to work as Senior Manager in the Marketing Information Management team. In this capacity, Jose worked on implementing procedures that gauge the success of specific marketing campaigns and promotion effectiveness.Jose is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
