I have been running events within the music and arts industry now for seven years. Although starting very small (running open mic nights and a pub quiz) I quickly developed a taste for customer satisfaction and began planning more and more exciting things for the general public to attend. 

As a musician and business director I created, organised and ran a music festival based in Morpeth. The one day event saw hundreds of people through the door of a central Morpeth hotel and restaurant and featured music all day, as well as BBQ and entertainment for children. Now in it’s seventh year, I am already planning this summers festival and expect (as always) it to be a great success. 

 Not being one to shy away from other events, the past few years have also seen me organise, arrange and run events for numerous other venues and business’ including a day of music and picnic at Doxford Hall, many charity fundraisers for the likes of NECCR, a sold out gig at Newcastle Castle, being an integral part of the organisation of Morpeth Fair Day and liaising with NE1 late last year to co-run the Newcastle Heritage Day which saw markets, live action, poetry, music, food stalls and tours across Newcastle’s merchant quarter, culminating with a gig on top of the castle roof at sunset. 

I am not only comfortable with, but actively enjoy all aspects of running an event. From the initial planning and organising, right the way through to being on hand on the day to address any problems that might occur, or just to support the event when everything is running smoothly.
