I have always been passionate about sports as well as how data and analytics can be used to influence decision-making at every level within these sports. Because of this, I have gotten the opportunity to work with the Men’s Varsity Hockey Team at Miami University performing performance analysis, while only being a third-year student.I am also currently the President of the Sport Leadership and Management Club, where we work with students on professional development skills, and help to connect them to alumni and other professionals in the sport industry. In addition, I recently became the President of the Sport Analytics Club, after working with faculty advisors to restart the program after multiple years of dormancy. In Sport Analytics Club, we assist students in the practical application of analytic techniques using real-world examples and data.During my time at Miami, I have also received training in many data analysis and reporting tools and techniques such as Python, R, Java, Tableau, and Microsoft Office. I am currently exploring additional opportunities to intern in the sport analytic field, so I can better prepare myself for the professional world after I graduate in the Spring of 2025.
