CurrentJoe earned a Bachelor’s in Mathematics, a Master’s in Educational Administration, and has taken Electrical Engineering studies at Northeastern University. His skill sets include: ISO-9001, AS-9100, lean flow manufacturing, supply chain management, and he is APICS certified.Joe started his working career as a Mathematics Teacher, and after 10 years of teaching, pursued further career opportunities. Joe went to work for Stone & Webster Engineering as an Electrical Engineering Liaison where he worked on numerous nuclear power construction projects. Pursuing further advancement, Joe accepted a position with Teradyne Inc., as a New Product Planning Engineer. Joe was responsible for directing the start-up of a new facility; planning and scheduling of products; and purchasing of machined parts, prototype assemblies, and shipment of multi-board digital test units in excess of $92.5M.Working as a Purchasing Manager for Helix Technology Corporation, Joe reengineered the MRP database system (CAS); initiated inventory control programs; and negotiated major raw board manufacturing contracts. Leaving Helix for a new career opportunity, Joe joined Alphatec Spine, Inc., in the role of Purchasing Manager. In this position, Joe had overall responsibility for the procurement, production, and distribution of human donor skeletal tissue. This involved outsourcing instrumentation fabrication and tissue manufacturing; negotiating contracts with manufacturers; developing quality syste4ms for FDA audits; and developing quality procedures for all aspects of tissue handling, packaging, distributing, shipping, and purchasing.In his current position as Senior Buyer with Reardon Associates, Joe has been responsible for procurement of raw brass and bronze, machined parts, castings, and industrial plumbing supplies. In addition, he has been the Supplier Manager for various manufacturers both on domestic and international levels.
