A regular guy from a small town in Illinois, I wanted to get out and see the world and sought to do so with the Army. Little did I know that I would spend most of my time in the Mid-West. I spent time as an executive officer for a 100 person organization, balancing maintenance priorities and food services with administrative duties during my three years in Missouri. As for seeing the world, I did spend 15-months in Qatar where I oversaw the import and export of sea-shipped equipment for all U.S. military bases in-country. My wife and I learned and grew from that experience, and afterward, I went right back to the Mid-West in Northwest Kentucky (some may call it the South, but it's close enough to the Mid-West I split hairs). During my time in Kentucky, I learned at the operational level as the operations officer for a 450 person organization. It was there I had to determine how to find equilibrium with COVID mitigation and operational readiness. Following that, I moved again to get my MBA at Washington University in St. Louis, where I am currently studying.
