- Installation, maintenance and monitoring of field instrumentation, including but not limited to; inclinometers, survey equipment, piezometers, shape arrays, extensometers, tilt meters, strain gauges, vibration, noise and dust sensors, datalogggers.- Reduction of data from field instrumentation and surveying for analysis and reporting.- Preparation and checking risk and method statements, risk assessments, data reports, borehole logs, ITPs, install reports, proposals.- Obtaining approvals for use of GeO instruments such as Shape Array, Flushable Piezometers and wireless equipment on different infrastructure. - Training and assessment of current and new staff within Geo Obs so that international standards for instrumentation and monitoring are met across the company.

• Carrying out monitoring surveys on multiple Thames Tideway construction sites around London.• Installation and maintenance of survey equipment.• Processing data in excel and creating reports for clients.• Working with TS50 Total station and LS15 Digital Level.• Installation of Wall, ground studs, prisms, retros.• Installation of instrumentation such as Strain Guages, Crackmeters, Tilt sensors, Inclinometers, Noise/Dust/Vibration sensors, Shape Arrays.

• Daily running and monitoring of any environmental and geotechnical work for Select I&M.• Travelling to different sites around the country to evaluate any errors with the equipment.• Installing, maintaining and weekly monitoring of equipment such as Noise, Vibration, Gas and Dust monitors, inclinometers, Tilt meters and crack meters.• Creating Excel spreadsheets and writing code for excel macro programs to improve the processing time for large amounts of data.• Creating reports on a weekly basis providing data to those who require it. • Installation of instrumentation onto sites alone or alongside other contractors e.g. Getec - Fibre Optic strain gauges on the Victoria and Blackfriars sewers for the Thames Tideway project.• Attending meetings to organise installations and to present data to clients which has been collected.• Writing method statements for projects such as installing Tilt meters on the Edinburgh St James site.• Working closely with suppliers of equipment such as Turnkey and Surewave.• Working with Project Managers and Environmental Advisors to meet their needs on Laing O’ Rourke sites all over the country.

• Based at Liverpool Street Crossrail Project but also travelling to other sites around London to undertake weekly monitoring. • Going to College of North West London one day a week to study BETEC Level 3 Civil Engineering and my NVQ.• Carrying out Monitoring surveys with a Digital Level and TS50 and TS30 Total station.• Monitoring and installing Piezometers, Inclinometer, Extensometer and Shape Array tubes and Embedded/surface mounted strain gauges. • Looking after Noise, Vibration and Dust monitoring on a couple of sites.• Processing data via Excel and creating reports for Noise, Vibration and Dust monitoring. • Sending regular reports of the processed data to the clients. • Starting to forge strong relationships with suppliers of equipment such as Turnkey and ANV measurement systems.

I gave good customer service while carrying out many different tasks on the shop floor like till shifts and stock control.
