Joe is an experienced document imaging professional working towards making the world's knowledge and data available digitally. He has extensive experience with installation, user training, and field support of a wide variety of image capture and workflow software and hardware.He began in the imaging world with Amitech Corporation in 1991, supporting customers on the Documate high-speed microfilm systems. As Amitech introduced the Mekel roll microfilm and fiche scanners, and later the Wicks and Wilson line of microform scanners to the US market, Joe played a key role in supporting these systems nationally, developing training and installation documentation, and assisting sales efforts. He also installed and supported Amitech's Turboscan, Conerstone's Input Accel, and Kofax's Ascent capture and workflow software.Later, as Amitech joined the Lason group, Joe continued in a support role and in managing the technical support team on the East Coast.After a brief hiatus from the imaging industry, Joe joined the Crowley service team in 2003 and worked nationally and internationally as a senior field technician and end user trainer, supporting the Mekel line of film scanners and the Zeutschel line of book scanners, microfilm scanners, microfilm plotters, and Zeutschel's Omniscan imaging software, and the InoTec line of high-speed paper scanners with a variety of capture applications.In 2012 Joe made the transition to the service bureau side of the business, providing technical support, workflow design, operator training, software documentation, and image quality measurement in support of jobs for a wide variety of digitization and film conversion customers.Joe is certified in the PaperVision and PaperVision Enterprise workflow software, and factory trained and certified on the Mekel, Zeutschel, InoTec scanners and associated software.
