Prepare complex layouts, coordination bus connection details, sketches, 3D-models, and drawings using CAD 3D modeling application software relating to new and modified equipment specifications, as well as from customer engineering interpretations of the general order.Analyze and interpret customer inquires to assemblies during the negotiation and manufacturing phases of the assemblies production.Develop special layout and sketches for engineering tests to determine the acceptance application, operating characteristics, or performance of components of the assemblies.Prepare necessary information to ensure efficient and timely material procurement, manufacturing information, and installation of assemblies.Compile data required for project assignments and develop.Maintain contact with manufacturing personnel to review and discuss manufacturing information, modifications, adjustments, and progress of work relating to the design and manufacture of equipment.Maintain contact with customers, customer representatives to resolve problems as needed, and on site with the customer as necessary.Provide guidance to and assist and train lower coded drafters in all aspects of mechanical drafting; recommend technical methods or approaches for these personnel in order to increase their overall quality, timeliness, and productivity.Perform other related duties as required.

CAD/CAM Designing/Drafting 2D Drafting / 3D Parametric ModelingPrepare manufacturing documentation to include custom bus bar, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOM, lockout key-schemes using 2D and 3D drafting applications.Support product engineer with customer requirements during the bid/negotiation process and manufacturing process.Gather all pertinent information and how it pertains to the order for creation of custom assemblies and parts detail from sheet metal, bus bar, and Glastic® thermoset polyester sheets.Capture all information for advance ordered part and material to maximize time for procurement.Follow up on order as it is being manufactured through the shop and address any questions from manufacturing associates through engineering and customer contacts.Process orders through bid manager to pick up latest job and system updates. Compare all system created drawings and bills-of-material of switchgear for consistence and reporting any inconsistencies to MEDD group for improved accuracy of Bid Manager.Mentor to new and lower code team members in order processing, drafting standards, systems use and pliable tips for software applications.Maintain an orderly work area through 5S initiative.
