Challenge: Hired to drive cost reduction and production support for the two largest revenue generating product lines in the facility. Level of Authority: Approval of manufacturing and design documentation and MRB. Implement changes to improve cost, quality and throughput. Purchase equipment to ensure production can meet demand projections. Supervise a small team of technicians staring in March 2008.Contributions:• Volunteered to be an ERP transition team member to perform system testing when the company transitioned from Oracle to SAP. Provided user training and post go live support.• Lead a cross-functional team to develop a $1.5M wind tunnel test facility. Project owner from concept development, requirements definition, vendor selection, build, installation, qualification and release to production. End to end process was completed in 14 months.• Achieved 6 sigma green belt certification: for project to define and control key characteristics• Developed new quality system to govern control of special processes per National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP) requirements.
