Cal Poly Hyperloop has opened up the opportunity for students to rapidly design, prototype, and test their own designs to be a part of the SpaceX Hyperloop Competition. Previously I was the Systems Integration Lead at Cal Poly Hyperloop which let me learn about every subsystem and their designs. Having a detailed knowledge of each subsystem is critical for the systems integration role as it allowed me to make sure their were no negative interactions between any subsystems. This year I have been elected the role of Vice President of the club. With my previous developed skills of systems integration, teamwork, management, and engineering, I can apply each one of these towards the club to provide organization and structure to the team. Our goal this year is to compete in the main event in the 2020 SpaceX Hyperloop Competition and be the fastest pod that as ever been developed in the world!

The Cal Poly Hyperloop is brand new and I'm glad I get to say I'm part of it! With the propulsions team, I am designing and building the electric propulsions system for our competition pod that will be used in the 2019 SpaceX competition.

My responsibility was to support existing missions and plan for future missions. In supporting, I analyzed data from satellites that were malfunctioning in order to solve what was causing the issue. For future missions, I did orbital analysis for perturbations as well as attitude determination and control.

My systems engineering experience on the audio panels involved interpreting the upper system level functions and generating lower level system requirements to satisfy those functions through communications with the customers. To establish verification and validation for those requirements, I spent time in the Boeing Lab to understand proper validation techniques.Takeaway: Communications with all involved parties in a project is the number one solution to preventing conflicts and loss of schedule.
