Manage the software engineering process for all of OptTek’s multiple business units. Support recruitment efforts and on-boarding activities, as well as managing personnel. Work with OptTek leadership on the development and implementation of strategic level initiatives in support of company objectives and operations. Oversee the IT functions of the organization including technology, processes and security.

Worked with projects and teams to evolve the software engineering processes and tooling to ensure consistent guidelines and enable effective and efficient development. Performed project and product management including developing and tracking project timelines, budgets, resources and deliverables, managing project scope, handling internal and external project communication, building relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction in support of project success and further business development.

Continued with previous responsibilities while also taking on team and project leadership roles. This included technical planning for milestones and capabilities, assisting with time, budget and resource estimation, overseeing project team priorities, assignments and task completion, mentoring team members, ensuring code quality and adherence to standards, as well as performing project retrospectives.

Worked on multiple projects and teams to program mathematical algorithms, build optimization tools, construct user interfaces for standalone and web based applications, design features, perform acceptance testing and code reviews, maintain the OptTek website, and provide IT support.

Main duties included performing empirical studies in software interaction testing, researching background information in security testing and analyzing testing results.
