However, even though I've for years been heavily involved in designing and putting into practice much of our existing business operations practices, it is now time to shift gears and focus on that and putting less emphasis on data & analytics.We already are one of the fastest growing and most profitable companies in our sector, but as we've already matured to play with the big global players, the competition is steeper than ever. I also held a key role in replacing our earlier operating systems with a fully fledged group wide ERP system Workday (Finance + HR + PSA). In that project, my main responsibilities were in defining how and what data we collect and at what level, how data is migrated from our old systems to our new system and finally in what kind of reports and data we can then leverage for building more accurate and meaningful reports and analysis to improve our business.Currently, my main responsibilities are:-Creating the specifications for Data & Analytics development and building much of it myself-Coordinating the efforts of our internal reporting team, subcontractors and our internal stakeholders-Making sure that the reports get put into practice and that our data and reports actually lead to actions-Collaborating with Management to define new initiatives to utilize our data further and improve our Commercial Excellence Show less

My primary goal was to aid the company with managing its growth and profitability as both the main user and developer of our company business planning and intelligence solutions and administering our PSA/CRM. I was mainly working with our business management, finance department, sales and HR. My role involved everything from monthly revenue, revenue leakage, profitability and growth analysis & reporting to ad hoc analysis of various financial issues.After such a long time in the Business Controller -role and after implementing Workday as our group global platform, I decided to switch to a new role as Head of Internal Reporting & Analytics. My role as a Business Controller had grown to include too much and I wanted to start fresh in a new role and with new focus. During the summers I was present in the company doing mainly cost accounting and other management accounting roles. During school terms I worked with the company management by doing remote work - otherwise my role remained the same. Most recently this work was evident in our ERP system design, implementation and development project, where I was responsible for managing the project, but also for creating the business logic behind the system. In this capacity, we were responsible for the coordination, development and day-to-day -running of the whole association. This also allowed us to create close relationships with other student associations in Finland and also with SEFE - The Finnish Association of Business School Graduates.I was also voted as Vuoden järjestöjyrä (person known for his dedication and activeness in various student associations) by our whole class of ca. 250-300 people in 2012. I was also given several official awards and other accolades for my work in different student activities by both the Student Association of Economics Students in Turku (Turun KY) and the Student Union of the University of Turku (TYY).
