I'm a former newspaper designer/art director who took the road less traveled to web development. My specialty is front-end responsive design and UI/UX, including SharePoint development/customization of UI (custom themes/skins/branding/feature deployment), workflows and web parts, administration and site migration. Currently I'm a Learning Developer for Business Insurance Operations Support at Travelers. In this role, I combine my past experience in SharePoint, UX design, front-end user interface development and business intelligence to create interactive learning experiences. Previously, I was a UX/UI designer on a team developing an iOS mobile app for Travelers. I conducted user interviews, analyzed and synthesized data from those interviews, created interactive prototypes and conducted user testing to verify hypotheses and finesse app design.I also create training materials/online courses and tutorials, help manuals and animated videos as part of an application's or website's launch. In addition, I have experience in web analytics/search engine optimization (SEO), and some Angular, Node and SQL development. Basically a Jill-of-all-trades (well, most). I enjoy using my skills to help business customers' work processes be more efficient. Each day to me is an opportunity to learn something new about my job, another person or the world in general, and that is an exciting gift. I'm also a good source of "useless" trivia and other minutiae :-)
