My working background was primarily retail and restaurant service. I was a manager for multiple The UPS Store franchises and when the owner's sold the franchises, they moved me over to their construction company as the office manager. I didn't know much about construction, or office management or Quickbooks for that matter. I quickly learned via many internet searches, webinars, friends, books and what ever else I could get my hands and eyes on, to keep up with a growing construction company. We specialize in commercial office buildings and interior finish-outs for the medical field. I have been with the company for now, 10 years, full time for the last 6. It has been a very challenging, but rewarding career. I am sometimes astonished with my capabilities of learning on the fly, continuing and growing my position with this growing company. One of the owner's also owns several professional office buildings in the area which I property manage. I still manage to have some time for my teen daughter, family and friends. I enjoy my jeep and jeeping events on the weekends or a quiet night with my pup and a good tv show or video game. I never dreamed of being an office manager or accountant but I am very grateful for the experience and opportunity and for those that believed in me enough to get me here.
