I became an ABA insurance billing and credentialing expert by accident!!!My journey began not as a deliberate business venture, but as a heartfelt response to a family member's overwhelming challenge. In 2007, I stepped up to assist a family member, Clara, who was running a clinic single-handedly. Clara juggled multiple roles, including scheduling, front desk duties, and the complex task of insurance billing and credentialing.Clara's struggles with insurance billing had reached a breaking point, causing financial strain on the clinic and immense frustration for both Clara and the practitioner. Recognizing the need for focused support, I intervened, sharing the burden and preventing a financial catastrophe. My involvement also allowed Clara to regain her confidence and concentrate on transforming the clinic into a thriving success.Word quickly spread and other clinics started seeking out my expertise. What initially began as an offer to assist a struggling family member evolved into a full-fledged commitment by starting Advocate Insurance Billing. I eventually became a dedicated “advocate” for ABA/behavioral health clinics.This experience provided me with a renewed sense of purpose, offering me an opportunity to channel my skills and passion into becoming advocates for those who share my heart to serve others.Today, what truly motivates me is the opportunity to assist ABA clinics with insurance billing/claims processing, credentialing, insurance contracting, and audit assistance. I love relieving this burden and allowing the BCBA to focus on the care for the children and their families. I just doesn’t any better than that!!!
