Reporting to the General Counsel and was a member of the European Legal Leadership Team and Audit Committee. I was responsible for designing, branding and leading the implementation of the European Compliance programme. I recruited, trained, coached and developed Legal Compliance Officers across the European markets who reported to me on Compliance matters and were locally accountable for rolling out and maintaining the policies and procedures supporting the standards required of the Compliance framework.I successfully project led and embedded Healthcare Compliance, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Sanctions, third party due diligence and mitigation, Data Privacy (GDPR) and Information Security programmes along with a Code of Business Ethics across each business within the region. I was responsible for educating and supporting senior leaders on all aspects of compliance and setting tone. I developed myself as a trusted business partner who raised the profile of compliance and established it as a business asset, underpinning the European Commercial Excellence programme and enhance business integrity.

Active member of Ortho Clinical Diagnostics (OCD) EMEA Management Board with dual reporting lines into the EMEA Vice President and OCD WW VP Compliance. I was responsible for successfully implementing J&J’s Healthcare & Business Integrity and Compliance programme, Data Privacy, 3rd Party Management & Due Diligence, FCPA and Quality throughout the EMEA region.

Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the standards set within the J&J Health Care Business Integrity Guide. In addition to my Healthcare Compliance function I was also the Chief Information Security Officer for the UK and Ireland. Both functions were compliance based and require my ability to communicate effectively at all levels and utilise my wealth of experience in compliance management.

.Awarded the J&J Global Standards of Leadership Award – for outstanding contribution to the implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley.Implemented the Worldwide Information Security policies into Janssen-Cilag Ltd.Developed online training materials and supportive intranet site for Privacy and IT Security.Provided advice and guidance in line with EU Privacy laws and WWIAP policies .Conducted WICO reviews for Company websites.Introduced Standard Operating Procedures to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley standards were met and maintained.Developed testing and monitoring processes to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley standards were maintained by the Information Management teams..Assisted IM division in passing several SOX and Internal audits .Performed risk assessments and audits of external organisation in the EMEA region to ensure J&J policies can be met and be maintained by third party suppliers. Reporting to the IM Director, I was responsible for leading and managing the IM Helpdesk teams and IT training departments. I was also a member of the IM Management teams providing strategically aligned support and guidance.
