Played or recorded with artists including Justin Timberlake, Matt Morris, Charlie Sexton, Flobots, Danielle Ate the Sandwich, Ron Miles, 3ology, Shannon Wexelberg, Dave Powers, and the Longmont Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed on Late Night with David Letterman, The Ellen Degeneres Show, and Lopez Tonight in addition to his appearance on the internationally broadcast performance of "Hallelujah" with Justin Timberlake, Matt Morris and Charlie Sexton at the Hope For Haiti Now Telethon. The download of this performance reached #1 on the iTunes Singles Chart.Began studying drums at age 6 and participated in both church and school bands. While attending Skyline High School he was awarded the Louis Armstrong Award and the John Philip Sousa Award and was selected to participate in the CU Honor Band and CSU Honor Jazz Band. He went on to attend the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music majoring in jazz studies and studied privately with Grammy-nominated artist Art Lande. As a private instructor, Jon has taught in the Front Range since 1992. He has developed a unique drum teaching curriculum including the books Beginning Rhythm Reading, A Brief History of Drummers, and Groove Studies. His students have gone on to attend All State Jazz Band, All State Honor Band, Blue Knights, University of North Texas, and Berklee College of Music.
