Being the first editor/animator hire to a production house that would grow from 1 to ~15 employees in the span of three years is a lot of pressure. Fresh out of college I helped lay the groundwork for Nextthought Studios. Along the way I have forged strong relationships with my coworkers and grown my skill set exponentially. Now I work with a house full of extremely talented and passionate individuals striving to break new ground in educational, corporate, and promotional media.NextThought Studios is a full service production house that specializes in telling stories through video. We bring a wealth of experience to our studio of imagination and are equipped with the tools to create any video you could dream of. We’ve done it all – from promotional and branding to learning and training videos. We treat each project as a unique learning environment and work with partners to obtain the right balance of narrative, visual, and audio inputs to achieve a specified goal.

Work on nationally recognized and award winning documentary/corporate/PSA style programming covering a multitude of subjects - the Tornado events in Joplin and Tuscaloosa and Hurricane Sandy, Earthquake and tornado preparedness, and spots for the Gaylord College of Journalism. Our clients include: FEMA, IEMA, the National Association of Broadcasters, the Broadcasting Education Association, and the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Hands-on experience with AVID technology, Final Cut Pro, DVD authoring, tape duplication (D-Beta, Beta, and VHS), sitting in on production meetings, assisting in studio productions and assisting editors.

Assist with various tasks relating to the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication including (but not limited to): Producing the Festival of Media Arts showcase. Acting as project manager, shooting and editing presentations for JayMac alumni awards, and the Gaylord Prize. Running jib camera for Soonervision at home football games, and a variety of other client-based productions including the City of Norman, FEMA, IEMA, BEA, and Nissan.

I currently work as a jib operator for Soonervision at every home football game. Every now and then I may operate for gymnastics as well.

Providing information to students, enforcing the student code, dispatcher, issuing park permits and parking citations, issuing keys to faculty and staff, maintaining a log of daily activities.
